# Free or Plus

What free Jails includes, and what Jails+ adds.

Free Jails is enough when staff only need to send a player to a spot for a while. Jails+ is for jails that players keep leaving.

## In both

* Multiple jail locations
* Permanent jail and tempjail, with a reason
* Handcuffs
* Prisoner rules for blocks, combat, pearls, chat, and movement
* A blocked-command list that includes `/spawn`, `/home`, and `/tpa` by default
* PlaceholderAPI values
* Language files for English, Spanish, Russian, French, German, Portuguese, and Polish

## Only in Jails+

* Escape flags, with kill, teleport back, ban, or release
* Cancel of plugin teleports, not only commands
* A block-all-commands mode with an allow list
* Offline timer pause, plus an AFK check
* IP jail for alts
* Cells under a jail
* Bail through Vault
* Prisoner list, flag list, and bail menus
* Discord bot posts for jail, release, and duration changes
* Inventory strip and jail items
* On-screen timer
* Prison skin through SkinsRestorer
* Simple Voice Chat mute
* Console commands on jail and on release
* Per-jail and per-player release locations
* Folia
* Punishment history tracking and `/jails history`
* Silent punishment flag (`-s`) to suppress broadcasts

Free Jails always counts time while a player is offline. There is no setting to pause it.

Your jail locations do not automatically copy from `plugins/Jails/` to `plugins/JailsPlus/`. After you install Plus, create the jails again, or copy the data files by hand and test on a copy of the server first.
